We advise businesses on how to incorporate respect for human rights
Löning – Human Rights & Responsible Business is an international management consultancy specialized in human rights. We advise businesses on how to incorporate respect for human rights into their business operations and along their value chains.
Specifically, we help our clients establish effective human rights due diligence processes and management systems in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and applicable regulations.
Founded in 2014 by the former Commissioner for Human Rights of the German government Markus Löning, we have an extensive and international network of stakeholder groups and partners, which we leverage to offer practical and innovative solutions to manage the specific human rights risks and impacts of companies operating across industries and geographies.
In a globalised world, economic activities are cross-sectorial, intertwined and have a direct impact on the living conditions and the rights of people all over the globe. The human rights references in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development confirms this impact.
The UN has set forth a collection of Sustainable Development Goals (referred to as SDGs) with the goal of providing “a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future” *. Understanding the connection of all SDGs to human rights and how they impact your organisation’s operations are critical to your own sustainable success.
