Liesbeth Unger is a senior consultant at Löning and the owner of Human Rights@Work in the Netherlands.
Liesbeth has been an advisor in the area of business and human rights for over ten years, building on an extensive working experience in responsible business with NGOs such as Oxfam and international organisations such as the ILO and UNICEF.
Having spent five years working with the ILO in Asia, working with governments and NGOs in Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Liesbeth has practical experience in this region. She advises international organisations, governments, and medium and large multinational corporations on the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines, conducting risk and impact assessments, designing policies, and supporting the development of actionable plans, as well as facilitating and designing training and workshops.
As an international human rights lawyer by education, Liesbeth has excellent knowledge not only of international standards and the national and international legislative developments, but also their meaning in practice for companies.
